Budatín is one of the city parts of Žilina. On the right side of the river flows the river Váh, from Považský Chlmec it is separated by the river Kysuca. Its neighbor is the city part of Brodno in the north and the city part Zádubnie and the village of Teplička nad Váhom in the east. It is built on Dubeň hill. One of its most important monuments is the Budatín castle, which was originally a castle.
